A Little Claire's Christmas card

Hi Bloggers!

I have just uploaded a Christmas Card made with some recent stamps from Little Claire's.

I enjoyed putting it all together. I do need some practice with the pro markers though. I have added a bit of sparkle on the snow as well.

When I have finished the next one, I will share that with you also.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend :)

A Little Claire's card and a few more to come :)

Hi Bloggers!

I am playing catch up this week with my card making. I have three lots of cards to make with my Little Claire's Stamps. This is the first two, made with the first stamp I received - (August I think)

I telephoned Little Claire's to get my September stamp and the phone was answered by Helen - whom I have known through many cardmaking groups over the years. It was good to speak and I hope that at some point I will make it up to a Little Claire's Stamping Class :)

I hope to post the other cards over the next few days.

A visitor to my craft room.

Hi Bloggers!

Well, I was up early this morning and made myself a cup of tea. Hugo and I wandered into my craft room at about 6.30am and he got into the dog bed under the craft table and I sat at my computer to read emails. After about 15 mins, I heard a very strange rustling noise. I did stop to listen, but assumed Hugo had found some paper, so carried on. A few minutes later I heard a peck peck noise and thought to myself, what has Hugo got now. When I turned round, he was asleep in his bed, not doing anything strange. I sat still for several minutes and heard the noise again. I could work out where it was coming from, but I couldn't see anything. I stood up and turned round and a sparrow flew from the top of my card table to the beam that runs across the roof of the room. (The room dates back to the 1500's). As I walked towards the beam he flew down onto my craft table and stayed looking at me for a few mins. He allowed me to get my camera and take a couple of photo's. He was looking straight back at me :)

Last evening, when my friend Karen left, I was stood outside the front door. We have an overhang with old roof tiles and a beam, like a porch on the front of the house. For about 18months, we have had two sparrows that come back at dusk and sleep under neath it. One must have flown into the house last night without me seeing it. When I opened the door this morning and walked towards the sparrow on my desk, he flew along the room and out of the front door. He then sat on the garden gate as if to say 'Thank you' before he flew away.

I have attached the photo's of the cheeky chappie.

So, what have I been up to?

Hi Bloggers!

I am so sorry that it has been such a long time since i have posted to my blog. Firstly, I was ill in the last few weeks of July and early August. I had one virus after the other so didn't do much at all. During August, I have been busy with the garden, Jam making, Chutney and now pickled onions. However, all that has finished now and I had some birthday cards to make for the September birthdays.

I will share with you a couple:
This card has been made for a card making friend who is celebrating a big birthday. Hope she likes it :)

This card is for another card making friend - hope she likes it also :)

Lastly, this card is for a friend who is not well to let her know I am thinking of her.

Hopefully, I won't wait to long before sharing a few more cards with you.

Happy Blogging!

Sharing now that these cards have landed.

Hi Bloggers

I can now share with you two cards that have landed with their recipients for their birthdays.

The first was for my good crafting friend Lydia whose birthday was this week. This is a 3d Dandelion and Daisy sheet with a stamped embellishment and a charm to finish it off. I also added a few Gems for sparkle effect. Quiet pleased with it.

The second was for Ann - a very pretty Fuschia in 3d with lace and two different Martha Stewart punched borders on a lovely doily. Finished off with an embellishment and some gems. I wasn't sure about the colours at first, but grew to love them.

The third card hasn't landed yet, and when it does, I will share it with you all.

Happy Crafting!

Graduation and Engagements!

Hi Bloggers

I have been asked to make an engagement card for friends of my DIL. After looking through my 3d sheets and selecting one, trying to print it and giving up, I decided to use a stamp that I hadn't used yet from SWALK. This is the result - what do you think?

It is my nephews graduation shortly and I wanted something with a musical theme that wasn't to fancy for a talented young man. This is what I came up with.

I decided not to colour edwin but to stamp him on pearlescent card - has a nice sheen to it.

I have made a few other cards that I will share over the next few days.
Have a great day crafters.

Crafting on a day off work :D

Hello Bloggers!

Well, I had Friday off work and when I had finished my chores and before I entertained my student daughter I did venture into the craft room and make some cards.

Firstly, I tackled my July monthly stamp from Little Claire's to make two cards. The first was designed by Helen Nile. I have two photo's to show of this card.

Such a cute stamp and I am sure that I could think about many uses for this one.
This second card using this stamp was a quickie using an embossing folder called Birds that was sanded down and then with the stamped image, coloured with Promarkers and the greeting. Not to bad eh?

My last card is as a result of a trip to Hobbycraft with my good friend Karen. They had a Martha Stewart Punch of the chickens reduced from £15.99 to £8.99. With my love of hens and ducks combined with a love of Martha Stewart Punches, how could I resist. I knew exactly which stamp I would ink up to give it a try. Another quick card but effective and loved by a hen lover!

Happy crafting!

A mid-week card

Hi Bloggers

I just wanted to share with you this card that I made mid-week. I have only just got around to taking a photograph.

This card is some co-ordinations yellow card that has been embossed with the Cuttlebug and then sanded with a block to show the pattern. To neaten it up I have rounded of the corners. I have then 3d'd some flowers and put onto the background. The stamped embellishment is mounted on gold card and cut out with a spellbinder (scalloped small circle). I have then stuck a co-ordinating ribbon to finish it off. I am pleased with how it turned out.

Look out for some more cards over the weekend.

Sunday cards.

Hi Bloggers

Well, I have finished two cards that I started last night, made Gooseberry Jam with Gooseberries from the garden and done some gardening. I bought two roses that I have planted and they look lovely.

Anyway, on to the cards......

This card is for a swap - a Man's card. I wanted to do a theme of wheels and cogs. I am pleased with how it turned out.

This card is for my brothers birthday - Shhhhh! Incase he see's it before the day :)

I hope to have some more cards to post in the week.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

A saturday evening in.

Hi Bloggers!

I have had a Saturday evening in and have made a couple of cards.

I did some stitching around the edge and used one of my Lily Of The Valley sentiments on the card. I am quiet pleased with how it has turned out. I may just send it out as a RAK. If you would like it, please leave me a message on my blog and I will randomly pick someone.

The second card I have made is using a new Cuttlebug embossing folder called Butterfly's. This then has an inked up Paper Butterfly. This is again, finished off with a Lily Of The Valley sentiment. What do you think?

Catch up again soon.

What a cold and wet Sunday.

Hello Bloggers :)

What a cold and wet day it is today. It is the 12 June 2011 and we have the woodburner on! LOL
As it is cold and wet, I have spent the day making things. I have made some strawberry jam and three cards - oh and a mess! LOL

Here are the cards:

The first is a flower card using a Martha Stewart Punch that I purchased yesterday in Hobbycraft. The punch embosses and cuts the flowers. It was such a nice completed flower that I thought I would make it a central feature of my card.

The second card is using a Little Claire Stamp. I am not sure I like this card - or the stamp. x

Maybe it is the colours I have used when colouring with the Promarkers?!

The final card is a stamped Tatty Ted coloured with Promarkers. The stamp is from the Do-crafts Magazine and I have only just got round to using it.

Anyway, as always, look forward to your comments on my cards.
Happy Crafting :)

What have I been doing?

Well, lots of things but not much crafting!

I have made a couple of cards in the last 24hrs for RAK's - so keep an eye on the post bloggers. One may land on your doorstep.

I do love 3d - so made this :)

I have also made about 5 of these teabag holders. They are very simple to make and look quiet effective with a couple of Twynings teabags inside. Ideal for crafty friends when they have a refreshing break. I have shown two photo's - One from the outside and one from the inside. What do you think?

Many thanks for all your kind comments. I do appreciate you leaving a comment whilst you are passing through.
Happy crafting :)

More crafting for May 2011

Hi Bloggers!

I have two cards to share with you today. I may have mentioned before that I am a member of Little Claire's Stamps and every month you have a new stamp and a pack to make a card. Here is what I have made today.

The first card I really love - The Gerbara. I love the colours of the papers and the matching Promarker pens with Pastel Pink and Pastel Blue with Cool Grey.

The second card is using the Bicycle stamp - I decided not to colour this one in, but to leave it black as I thought that it would look to fussy. Here is the outside:

And the inside.......

So, that is two cards using the lovely Little Claire's stamps.
Thanks for popping by. Please do leave me a message to say you have been :)

Phew - some time to craft.....

Hi

Well, where does time go? I don't seem to have had much time to craft since the last post.
I hope all my followers are well?

I just wanted to share with you two things for today:

The first, is a card I have made with my little Claire's stamp - from the stamp club. It has been sitting on my desk for a while and I have just got around to making it up. Hope you like it.

The second is my card display. When I visited the Ideal Home Exhibition in April, I saw this in one of the house displays. Since then, It appeared in a local shop and I just had to snap it up to display my cards received from crafting friends. It is on the wall in my craft room. Can you see a card on there that you have sent to me?

Hope you all have a great week.

Anyway, time off work coming up with some Tim Holtz dies - watch this space.

Here is one of the cards that I made this weekend for my dear brother - Hope you like it :)
